Alexandra Moye '21 Recruiting Profile

My goalie coach has described me as outgoing, ambitious, enthusiastic, and a natural leader. I am normally very positive but my confidence was tested when I was recruited to join a team for Junior Olympics. I was so grateful to be selected, but not knowing any of your teammate’s names when you walk on the deck at JO quals is a daunting challenge. I was able to overcome and by the end of that first game, I knew everyone’s name. We played well together from the beginning but I quickly learned to make adjustments from playing with my high school team. I learned a lot about my own adaptability and leadership skills while playing with such a strong group of athletes. During my junior season, we made school history by winning our league undefeated for the first time ever. I was placed on the first-team all-league. We made it to semifinals of regional D1 CIF, and although we did not make it to finals, I was so thankful for all our successes and the ample opportunities to learn and grow. I think my competitive nature and love of a physical challenge would make me a great addition to your team.
