2024 SpotlightPersonal Statement
Currently (October 2024), I am a Sophomore at Redwood High School. I play for my school and I also play club water polo for TPCM Sharks. I am committed to going to every practice (perfect attendance for two years) and doing my best whenever I get in the pool.
While I have grown out of my role as JV captain this 2024 season, I still enjoy taking leadership roles wherever available from demonstrating drills, to organizing team bonding events, and organizing team spirit for game days for varsity. In addition, I am a starting utility for Redwood High School and the starting hole guard for my club team, U16 Sharks Water Polo.
While there are many things I like about water polo, my two favorite things about it is that you make friends for a lifetime and that there is always something to improve on. I love being able to also have a new goal or challenge to try to figure out to the best of my ability. Personally, the concept of expanding my abilities is a large factor of my love of the sport and how your teammates can contribute to your improvement and not simply the coach.
