My name is Helen McGrath. I am a Senior at Newark Memorial High School (NMHS) and am currently playing for the Stanford Water Polo Club. I play starter varsity goalie at NMHS and serve as team captain. I was also goalie at the 2019 and 2018 Junior Olympics team for the SoAC-UCLS club. I am a dedicated and hard worker in and out of the pool. I strive to be the best I can be and always am trying to improve. Water polo has taught me a lot and has changed me as a person in many ways. I have learned to work with others, to manage my time, and to sacrifice social time in order to better myself as an athlete. I would love to continue my passion for water polo after high school.
