Kiani Puu '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kiani Puu and water-polo has been my passion ever since I saw my sister play her first game, I was immediately intrigued and very interested in playing. I first started by going to her after school practices after I got out of school and would practice with the team to get some real first hand experience of the game. Soon enough, I started a club in the summer of my eighth grade year and have been playing since. Once my high school career of playing began, I became a starter on Junior Varsity my freshman year and instantly knew this is what I wanted to do and that there was a real shot at finding my true calling. As my high school years have gone by, I have become infatuated in the hopes of playing at a collegiate level. I am a highly-motivated player as well as a good team leader making sure my team is focused and ready for games ahead of us along with keeping that focus during practice, drills, and games. I’m very interested in studying in the medical field to become a chiropractor or nurse while doing the one thing I love, water-polo. I hold a great amount of optimism in believing that college will make me a stronger player and can promise you I will put forth full commitment. In addition, I am also committed to putting my time and effort into my education in furthering my medical studies.
