Personal Statement

What sets me apart is the experience my freshman year as a starter on an all boys' high school water polo team, offering a unique perspective and a level of versatility that distinguishes me from most female water polo players.

Playing alongside my teammates has not only sharpened my skills but has also provided me with a distinct understanding of the game dynamics. This experience has instilled in me a level of adaptability, resilience, and a deep appreciation for teamwork that I believe sets me apart.

Since then we have grown our high school varsity team into a true co-ed team with other females athletes now joining me in the starting line up.

In addition to my experiences on my high school team, I have been a proud member of both the USA ODP Mountain Zone Girls Development and Cadet teams. I often play with and against Masters locally in Colorado Springs. I love coaching and helping younger players. I have also had the opportunity to play internationally in Malta. All of these unique experiences have contributed to my comprehensive understanding of the sport and an ability to adapt to various playing styles.

I am confident that my unique background, coupled with a GPA over 4.0, showcases my commitment to excellence both in academics and athletics. I am excited about the prospect of discussing how my experiences, foundational skills, and big life goals align with your program's needs and culture. Thank you.
