Splish... splash.... the sound I love best!!! I have been an athlete s long as I can remember. I have played youth soccer, basketball, volleyball and dance. Once I got in the pool I knew that is where I knew I belonged. I have swam on club since I was 11. Once in high school, I swam and played waterpolo on varsity all four years. I love being in the water and I love competing. Being a part of a team is also one of the things I love about being in the water. I am a leader both in the water and in the classroom. I am currently our swim team Captain and it is a role I worked for and am thrilled to have. I feel I have the attributes that can positively contribute to a college team. Discipline, organizational ,and leadership skills are all areas I have continually strived to improve upon each season. I am coachable and understand everyone has a role to play on the team. I was brought up to have a "blue collar" work ethic as my grandparents like to say. My father was a D1 athlete and he always stressed the value of hard work. I am a listener and analytical by nature and have found these traits help improve my times and scoring ability. I like to win and am willing to put the time and extra effort to condition and improve my athletic skills year round. In the classroom I like to challenge myself with AP Classes. Both of my parents were first in their families to graduate college. I know the value of my education and have the drive and ability to succeed academically. I have been able to expand my leadership abilities by taking on Board roles and leadership positions in extra curricular activities. I was recently chosen to be apart of our School's Leadership Academy which focuses on leadership both athletically and academically. Finally, I was raised to be a kind and caring individual, a trait overlooked sometimes in today's society. I can be a fierce competitor in sports and a compassionate person in daily life. I feel strongly I have the combination of athletic talent and discipline to contribute to a college athletic program. I am open to swim, water polo or rowing as I move forward in college. I want to compete in the water at the next level!!!
