I began playing Water Polo through the Chicago Park Districts when I was ten and my love for the sport has only grown as I’ve gotten older. I traveled with CPD and gained experience and a better understanding of how hard work and teamwork were vitial to succeding in rigorous atmospheres such as the Junior Olympics. This training helped me develop as a player and prepared me for highschool, where I began season on varsity and through practice became a starter. I currently start at Mother McAuley High school as a 2m defender and a driver. While I spend most of my time in the pool, I also enjoy the wide array of programs and classes my school has to offer. Through McAuley I not only learned about my love of waterpolo but also for service. I hope to continue my love for helping people in college and create a career centered around that passion. My dream is to play water polo in college and continue to grow as a player in confidence and skill. I think Water Polo is an amazing sport which helps develop players into hardworking, commutative, and determined leaders which is essential for success in all areas of life and that is why it so important for me to continue playing.
