It is my desire to be a student collegiate athlete with outstanding grades, with compassionate leadership in the water and out, and the determination to serve humanity in the field of science and technology.
My name is Madi Crookston I attend Forest Hills Northern High School, class of 2019. I play Water Polo for the Spartans Water Polo Club in Lansing, Michigan and High School Water Polo. In my off season I swim for my High School competitively. I have played Water Polo for 5 years and have been swimming for 11. I have participated in ODP Nationals and Junior Olympic Nationals for 2 years. I primarily play goalie but also play field. Learning to play various field positions helps me to be a better goalie by having the knowledge to help my teammates and anticipate plays when in goal.
As a collegiate athlete I am interested in pursuing a degree in science and technology. I was selected to represent my high school and state of Michigan at the Congress of Future Scientists and Technology Leaders. This is a highly selective national program honoring academically superior students dedicated to a career in science, technology, engineering or math. My current classes include honors sciences and courses that will prepare me for college. I have been in the Spanish Immersion Program throughout my academic career. I have also studied classical piano for 11 years at the Academy of Music and for four years in a row I earned superior marks at the National Federation of Music Competition for Piano Solos.
It is through my academic, athletic, and personal achievements that will allow me to achieve my dreams and shape me into a strong candidate for a competitive and challenging academic and athletic collegiate program.
