Izabel Steele '25 Recruiting Profile

hi I am Izabel Steele. I play as number 6 for the West Ottawa Panthers in Holland, Michigan. I am going into my junior year of high school, already with 2 years of varsity swimming and water polo. I have been swimming competitively since I was 8 and started water polo in 6th grade. I feel in love with polo my first year playing and since then I have been working with my coaches, and a USAWP team Third Coast Aquatics - Thunder Dragons, to become the best player I can be. I have had the pleasure of playing in the USAWP championships in California for 2 years. Unfortunately I missed my 7th and 8th grade seasons to COVID but I was honored enough to get to practice with the high school team my 8th grade year. I hope to be able to continue playing polo through college for your team. 

I am a valuable asset to any collegiate program because I am a powerful, respectful, and focused athlete and I am also a good student. My goal is to be a part of a water polo team that works together and is excited to play. I am a good candidate because of my dedication and love for this sport. I give everything to my training, I am teachable, and strive to get stronger and more versatile in the pool. I have a strong character of dedication, passion, and loyalty.  I hope to play for all 4 years of college and to finish a degree in nursing.
