My name is Rio and I am currently a junior in high school (graduating year 2020) and plan to attend a college where I can study either an environmentally related major or chemical engineering. I am a dedicated individual in the classroom and in the pool, where I enjoy pushing myself to improve every day. As a freshman I beat the varsity goalie record for number of saves within a season and made the Lansing State Journal dream team. My sophomore year I joined my high school's swim team and received a CAAC honorable mention and during the water polo season I was recognized by the Lansing State Journal once again, placed on their Dream Team and winning Female Water Polo Player of the Year along with an all-state honorable mention. My height is 5' 10'' and my wingspan is currently 5' 10''. I play both field and goal positions in water polo, but mainly I am a goalie. Below are some of the awards I have received, swim times, and activities in which I participate.
