Hello I’m Bri,
In 5th grade I started my swim career and continued on into high school. When it came to picking a spring sport I thought it make more sense to start waterpolo than track just to stay in shape in the offseason. When I started playing I found a new love for a water sport that I hadn’t ever felt with swim. Only being two weeks into the season we had our first game, my coach walked up to me and asked if I was ready to get in the pool. I was so nervous; just a couple weeks ago I hadn’t even touched a polo ball and now I was starting for our junior varsity team. After that game I knew I wanted to keep playing. It takes an entire new mindset to play waterpolo than it does to swim. I could feel myself getting better. Being in the water was no longer a task for me. It became something that got me through my day. Even if I had a busy day at work or spent hours studying for a test it was a nice pick-me-up just to jump in the water and go to practice.
Even though I just Started my waterpolo career I could not imagine ending it after just four years. That’s why I wanted to continue playing in college. I want to continue to learn and grow in the sport And I think the best option to accomplish this is to play through my college career as well. While in college I want to study and major in Anthropology. I have always been interested in the study of bones and the history of human geography. I want to not only be apart of a waterpolo family but hopefully find the perfect fit to start my journey towards my future in anthropology. Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know me a little better. If you would like to set up a meeting to talk or if you have any further questions please feel free to email me at [email protected].
Thank you again!
