I strive to learn new things and get better. Someone told me to go to a college where I would be the best on their team, but I don't want that. I want a challenge and I want to be able to look up to someone and learn from them. I don't think I've hit my peak yet and I want to keep going higher. I think I'm a good candidate because I'm a team player and I don't give up. We could be losing a game by 10 and I would still put in 100% of my effort. I think what makes me different is that I'm not only good at the sport, but also love it with all my heart. I've been playing since 5th grade and that's the only sport besides swim team that I've ever done. Don't get me wrong though, I hated swim team as it was so boring. I've seen people play even though they sort of seemed burnt out of the sport and they dreaded going to practice, but to me, practice is the best part of my day as I have never not thought about playing in college and getting better. I don't expect to be a starter my freshman year of college, but I would love to be on a team that can help me strive and get better. I am not bad by any means, but there's always room for improvement. I will die before I become someone with that big of an ego to think I'm already the best. If I get to meet you in person, you'll come to find out fairly quickly that I am very sarcastic but don't let it fool you. I will always be finding ways to do something better and with all of my effort. I also know that my grades aren't perfect with all A's, but I do well in school and have always usually had A's and B's. I have only had below a B once in my life and it was when everything was online and I don't learn well online. Overall though, I do try with my grades and I take classes very seriously just like I do with water polo. They are equally as important to me at the moment because as water polo is my life, school will help me create a life for me after college.
