My goal is to play water polo in college at a top tier school. I've spent most of my life playing sports, initially swimming and boys select baseball where I traveled to Cooper's town with an all boy's team and was the first on the team to hit a home-run. Playing a sport that was primarily dominated by boys taught me perseverance, drive, tolerance, and independence. Having thick skin was a necessity. Combining swimming and baseball has allowed me to develop into an aggressive and extremely committed water polo player. The combination of those two sports has allowed me to excel in the sport of water polo (both swimming and shooting). I moved to Spain to elevate my game and to learn as much as possible so that I could come back to the USA in the spring of my sophomore year to not only contribute my talent, but to also participate with my high school team and peers.
My dedication and commitment is unwavering. I have identified my passion and I definitely feel that I can handle the rigors of being a college athlete. I am willing to go the extra mile. I am designed for this because I possess strong communication skills, self-confidence, and a strong work ethic that will aid in my success if given the opportunity. I am also coachable and a team player. I played varsity water polo as a freshman. My coaches and my peers look at me as a leader. My goal is to lead by example. Thus far, I feel like I am accomplishing those goals.
