Wrestling has impacted my life ever since my first meet. I've never felt so alive in this sport out of all the sports I did. I absolutely love the pain, blood, sweat and tears of training to be better each and every single day individually. My first year as a wrestler is my junior year. After 8 years we finally had a wrestling team again, only me and one girl have made a difference in pursuing wrestling. We made it in Navajo Times "Girls Wrestling All-Stars" Newspaper Our first season. I have accomplished so much ever since our season has ended. I've trained over the summer with my coach to strengthen my shoulder after having a slight dislocation in December. After overcoming this hurdle of fear, I've grown into loving this sport more than anything. I will work my hardest even at my lowest, to win every single match inside my head and out on the mat. Wrestling has taught me to be resilient, independent, mentally/physically strong and a hard working person. I may not have accomplished much last year but this year will be the year I give it my all to pursue in making it into state for wrestling and accomplishing each and every meet at tournaments to give me better chances to wrestle in the highest ranked teams in women's wrestling in college as a Native American.
