Angeleen Castaneda '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Angeleen Castaneda, but ever since I can remember I have always been called Angie. Since 2018 I've looked up to my brother competing and enjoying wrestling. In 2022, my freshman year, I started my fall season by making it into the Girls Volleyball team. Then I was excited to finally start my winter season with Wrestling. In my freshman year I was on the Girls Varsity team. This led me to the CIF LA regionals of 2023 where I placed 2nd. The next big event was going to the CIF LA City Championships where I placed 2nd I was the first female state qualifier for Chatsworth Charter High School. Then, I was able to go to State at Mechanics Bank Arena located at Bakersfield California. I was then put on the All-Area Team at 131 in the Los Angeles Daily News. For my sophomore year of 2023 I started my fall season again with the Girls Volleyball Team. Coming into the winter season though I knew this was the sport for me. Throughout my season I was able to experience wins and loses. This is just the start. I am only 15 years old and I can't wait for the years to come and see how far I go. Thank you for your time.
