Hi, I’m Kailyn Salinas. I am 16 years old. I've been wrestling since my freshman year and I am now a junior in high school. Some of my goals and aspirations for the coming years are winning huge championships such as state, nationals, etc.. I have high hopes for these upcoming seasons especially during the current pandemic and not knowing what will happen for sure this year. One of the reasons I feel I would be an asset to any college wrestling team is because I will put in the work that needs to be done to succeed and I’ve also been doing martial arts my whole life and just recently I have joined the football team. One of my friends told me that I should try wrestling and I was very skeptical about it at first then after actually experiencing it, I began to really fall in love with the sport. Some of my academic goals for this year and next are to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA and graduate high school then moving onto college either a 2 year or a 4 year.
