When I was 5 years old my dad took me to my first wrestling practice. Throughout elementary I played football, baseball, and basketball along with wrestling to find my fit. Although basketball is a sport I enjoy to play, wrestling is my passion. I continued to be involved in 3-4 sports throughout middle school and in high school. Last year I made the decision to join Betterman Elite Wrestling Club so that I could practice with higher level athletes, learn Freestyle and Greco, and to compete against some of the best athletes across the country so that I can become a better wrestler.
As a high school student I am involved in Student Council, LEO Club, and FFA. Wrestling has given me the confidence to be a leader and being a part of these clubs has given me the avenue to use those leadership skills at school. I feel that because of my confidence and work ethic I was also chosen this last volleyball season as the team captain. Wether on the volleyball court or in the wrestling room I work hard and push my teammates to also work at that level. I will push my teammates to be their best, be honest with them and correct them at practice or while competing, and offer to work with them to get them better.
I am looking for a college to earn a degree in business and/or interior design and to continue to compete in the sport that I love. As a student-athlete I know the importance of being self motivated and keeping good grades. I am able to balance a rigorous academic schedule while being a 4 sport athlete this year. These attributes will help guide me to be the best student-athlete I can be at college also.
