I am a sophomore at Steamboat Springs high school, and in the middle of my second wrestling season in high school. I have been the only female wrestler in Steamboat Springs to compete in the high school level. I have played/done many sports and activities and have found that, I find the most joy and accomplishments in the sports or activity's that challenge me the most both mentally an physically. I love to compete, stay busy and strive for any way to improve myself as a person and and an athlete. Currently I play volleyball, wrestle, run track, and lacrosse. Wrestling has changed my life entirely, it has brought out parts of me that I never thought I would see in myself. To me wrestling is not just a sport but a mentality of a way to life. My freshman season, I competed with the boys all season and then got the privilege to wrestle in girls regionals and placed 4th making me eligible to go to girls state. Academically I have struggle with multiple learning disability's in the past but have stopped at nothing to improve and have come incredible lengths to get where I am now and am still going. I want to wrestle in college because it is yet another challenge and my love for this sport is to great to not take it to the next level. I have resilience like no other and will never hold my self back for any thing even if the rest of the world tries to, and nothing gives me a better thrill then seeing how far I can push my own limits, to reach my optimal potential! :)
