I started wrestling my freshman year in the 225lbs weight-class, but with a walking weight of 230lbs. Being in this weight class there was little competition and I did not feel that I would be able to grow in my skills and techniques, so I decided that dropping to 168lbs. will give me the competition I needed to propel me further towards reaching my goals. I am a 4 time state qualifier and a 2 time state placer. I have also taken 2nd at the Pa'ani tournament (all girls Hawaii State tournament), as well as winning The Fighting Spirit Award, which is one of my proudest accomplishments. My long term goal after graduating from college with a business degree is to open a gym that will allow me to give back to my community by teaching kids dedication, respect for others, and to believe in themselves along with building up their skills in competitive sports.
