I have only been wrestling for one year. Throughout my first year, I learned a lot about how wrestling can both be a mental and physical game. Although I was not able to make it to state this year, we are still able to go up there to get our first-ever Girls Academic in the history of Century High School. Last year I got the President's Award for Educational Excellence for the first time in my high school years. I faced a lot of challenges throughout my first season, but I persevered and made the best out of my first year of wrestling into a good year, although I did not get the chance to qualify for state last year, I am hoping that I get the privilege to wrestle at state this year. Our head My junior season was cut short and was not able to make it to districts nor was I able to qualify for state this year because I tore my left meniscus. I am very hard working on and off the mat, I have been doing sports since 4th grade and I am looking forward to having a future that includes both academics and sports. I can handle schoolwork and sports simultaneously. Although some of my classes are harder to focus on. I am still able to listen and take notes in class when being taught by my teachers I am still able to stay on topic. I can usually focus on my own time and get my work done, it's never done late. Last year "I was breathing from a firehose" as one of my coaches would say and was brought on myself, but this year I have had the opportunity to go to many camps and open mats to learn from my mistakes. I am still learning many more moves this season and trying to improve. I am very coachable and love getting advice and feedback on how I can fix this move or get out of it from my coaches. Many people can throw off my characteristics because they think that I don't like the person, but that's not true people just need to get to know me that is all. I love to spend time with family whenever I get the chance and a very caring person who will put others' feelings above mine. Willing to learn from the mistakes that I make off and on the mat. Our Head coach can also prescribe medicine for anyone on the team. Of all the hours that I have spent in high school, I still haven't been able to make any good friends that stick. As of right now I am focusing more on my academics and removing from surgery. I want to get a scholarship for wrestling but at the same time, I wish to achieve on getting a bachelor's in Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensic Science. I also hope to accomplish on getting my master's in Security or anything in that field. I also hope to accomplish the goal of getting a job that I can do out of love and money. Some of the college classes that I have taken are Literature and Ideas, American History 1101 and 1102, and Collage Prep. (ACCAT 1101), and Spanish 1101.
