Over the past few years, wrestling has helped me become the person I am today, and I truly don't know where I would be without it. The sport that at first seemed far too intimidating to try, and jerked me out of my comfort zone, has become the place where I feel the most myself. It has opened my eyes to just how crucial self confidence is when reaching success. I have put years of hard, dedicated work into this sport, and I know I have much more to give. I carry a very positive, focused attitude on and off the mat. I always work towards showing the utmost support for not only my teammates but myself. As a captain, I know how important it is to portray the best version of myself, because there was always someone looking up to me. By taking my career to the collegiate level, I would be able to further test myself to see what I am really capable of, both mentally and physically. As well as continue to grow amongst other strong, like-minded young women.
