Wrestling has only been sanctioned in North Dakota for two years now. I joined my sophomore year of high school, not knowing I would come to love the sport with my whole heart. As I continued to see multiple North Dakota girls committing to colleges to wrestle and knowing I had a major injury at the end of my sophomore year going into my junior year, I knew I wanted to wrestle in college. Once I found my love for the sport, I started wrestling morning and night and doing a workout every day. My hard work makes me a good candidate for a team because I am always striving to push myself in my academics and athletics while also pushing my teammates so that they may strive for their goals to be the very best. What makes me different from the other recruits in character is my respect for my coaches, teammates, and all my other wrestlers and peers. I strive to treat others the way I want to be treated. In athletics, my work ethic makes me different than all the other recruits because I grew up on a farm where I was constantly working, so I started using the same work ethic in my sports to help me accomplish my goals. Finally, in my academics, I am always striving to be the best and do the absolute best that I can which allows me to stand out from the other recruits because with this mindset I am able to have success in school and my education, which is very important to me.
