Thalia Vogelsang '24 Recruiting Profile

As a Senior I am the only female wrestler on my high school's varsity wrestling team.  I am currently a captain for the 2023-2024 school year. I started off wrestling for a club team called Paradigm, through which I competed in various local and state-level tournaments. In 2019 I placed 4th in the open division and 5th in the women's division in the Texas state tournament. In 2022 I was the first girl to compete in the Southern Preparatory Conference and placed 3rd overall. In 2022 I also placed 3rd over all at Prep-Nationals in DC. In 2022 I became a 2x All-American at Prep-Nationals, and won the inaugural Prep-State Tournament in Texas. I currently attend Episcopal High School, a private college preparatory high school in the greater Houston area.  Both of my parents are in the engineering and construction industries and have both attained graduate level degrees in engineering and sciences. My main college aspirations focus on sports medicine and orthopedics. I am a dedicated athlete, student, and community member who is strongly interested in furthering my academic and athletic career at a university level.
