My goal is to wrestle in college and pursue a career in business. I want to continue to improve my wrestling and make it to the highest level, which is the World Championships and the Olympics. After chasing and accomplishing my wrestling dreams, I want to continue to be involved in the sport throughout my life and give back to the sport that has given me so much.
My strengths are showing positive leadership, having a healthy work ethic, as well as being a good teammate. I have been given leadership roles on my team, including finding ways to build our newly sanctioned girl's wrestling team at my high school. I have organized booths to advertise during lunches at both my school, as well as our feeder middle schools. I continue to talk to girls from all different backgrounds about the benefits wrestling has had for me, and how they can be part of that as well. When girls show up with interest, I am quick to greet them and help them feel welcomed.
I love learning leadership skills and how I can improve myself as a leader. I love finding ways to help lift others and help them reach their goal. This has been something I have learned throughout the last few seasons. When I fall short of my goals at a tournament, I focus on the positives, learn from the experience, put aside my disappointments, and rejoice in my teammates.
