What I Value
My top values are self-development, passion, trust, adventure, and contribution. I am always more than willing to work hard in order to earn my results as well as to learn everything that I can. I have a positive, realistic, and goal-oriented mindset when it comes to my training. I loved wrestling from the very first day I tried it, and feel as if this passion will help me excel. I have also practiced judo before and throughout my wrestling career. I not only aim to be a top competitor in the sport, but I also hope to contribute to the growth of women's wrestling across the country.
Competition Experience
I am in my fourth season of wrestling. In 2018 and 2019, I qualified for co-ed VHSL States. I finished at 2019 States with a win by pin and losses by decision. I gained all-American status (7th place) at 2019 USMC Girls Folkstyle Nationals. I won first place at the VAWA Folkstyle tournament four times as well as at VAWA Freestyle two times (the tournament began three years ago). In the summer before sophomore year I wrestled in Women's Freestyle Nationals in Fargo, ND. The beginning of my sophomore season I wrestled in Women's Freestyle at Super32. I am always looking for new challenges and ways to improve myself as an athlete and a person.
Training Experience
I wrestle year-round at a local club. I have wrestled varsity 106 since Freshman year for my school as that is the lightest weight class for the co-ed state of Virginia. I've practiced folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. In August 2018 I trained in Budapest, Hungary in freestyle and Greco-Roman for a week. I have practiced judo for years alongside my wrestling.
