Personal Statement
My name is Rebekah Dowden. I am 15 years old and a sophomore. I've been wrestling since I was 10 years old in 5th grade. I was unsure about it at first, but after a while, I fell in love with the sport. My first middle school season was the season after Covid hit. I had a slow progression to begin with. I started to understand wrestling better and started showing major improvement the next season. When I was in 7th grade, I won the middle school girls' WV state championship. I had a tough season in my 8th grade year, but I worked hard for this season, despite getting injured. I am a hard worker, and I push myself beyond the limits.
