I have been wrestling since I was 7 years old, or in first grade. When I went to my first practice, I was so confused on why there wasn't a ring with ropes, or fake chairs, or masks, but I still fell in love with the sport. Since that moment, I have been progressing on my journey to hopefully wrestle at the collegiate level.
I believe that my best position is neutral, with bottom close behind. I get out often on bottom, and I can wrestle from many positions. I also believe that I have a high wrestling IQ, and that I understand wrestling well. I believe that I am coachable, and hard working on the mat.
I work as hard in the classroom as I do on the mat. I've taken 2 AP classes at this point in my sophomore year, and I have taken every possible honors class. I also volunteer often for my church and I am an active member in my church group as well. I am also a Life Scout, and should be receiving my Eagle Scout very soon.
I want to attend a college where I can challenge myself academically and athletically. I hope to be an inspiration to younger wrestlers in the state of Alabama and to make my family proud.
