My name is Colton Danielson. I played football for twelve years. In this decade, my love for sports and competition has grown immensely. My collegiate goals were to play football in college but I started wrestling in 10th grade and fell in love with the sport. I have now made it my goal to wrestle in college. I placed 5th in the 2020 AHSAA 6A State 220 weight class, placed 2nd in the 2020 AHSAA Super Sectionals and was the 6A Region 3 220 Champion. I qualified for the 2019 AHSAA Wrestling Sectionals and State. I finished 6th place at Sectionals in the 182 weight class. I also received a 2019 All Bi-City Wrestling Honorable Mention.
I believe I am a good candidate for a college team because I am rich in heart as well as guts. I’m not an athlete that likes to boast or brag. I would rather my actions speak for me. When it comes to the weight room, I am now the strongest and I like to think of myself as the most competitive and hardworking and have been told that by several coaches.
I am the Senior Class President. I am in the Beta Club and JAG Program (Jobs for Alabama Graduates) and have a 3.4 GPA. I plan to get my degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology and become a wrestling coach.
