Hi , My name is Ote Allsup. I am a senior at Willcox High School. I have been wrestling for 12 years. I was first introduced to wrestling by my dad when I was 5 years old. From that day on I have loved wrestling and have wanted to pursue this passion of mine . I believe I would make a good collegiate wrestler because I work hard in the classroom as well as on the mat. I am also a fast learner and can pick up new things quickly.
I believe what sets me apart is my character. I have never been one to shy away from a challenge. My parents made sure I was well rounded by giving me the chance to try different sports including football, baseball, and rodeo. I think participating in all these sports helped me get through the sudden loss of my dad a couple years ago. While I do not wear that experience on my sleeve, I do believe that I have honored him and made my mom proud by continuing to compete at a high level in all the sports I play.
My goals in college are not just based around wrestling. While I want to become the best wrestler I possibly can, I also want to excel in the classroom and at the minimum complete my bachelors degree.
