I am interested in studying zoology so that I can become a veterinarian and/or work in animal rescue to help animals in need. I began wrestling in my tenth grade year and even though I was inexperienced, I came in second in the 16U 285 freestyle state. The strength and speed I possess along with my extreme adaptability to practically any sporting environment make me a very gifted athlete. Although I hadn't planned to wrestle, it was my wrestling coach Andrew Canon who saw my potential for the sport, convinced me to join, and I've fallen in love with it ever since. I hope to challenge myself to be even better so I may make my family proud. Even though they have all told me how proud they are already of me.
In spite of my B average, I continually strive to improve. It's not my intelligence but simply time management that has been my toughest challenge in school. As a student, I work very well with my peers and I am very social in the classroom. I do my best to include anyone who might be interested in becoming a friend.
Despite being very determined and strong-willed, some may dismiss me as stubborn. It's always been my philosophy that if I start something, I will finish it and never give up. My competitive nature also drives me to make myself and my fellow competitors better both on and off the mat. Furthermore, I am very observant and try to use it to my advantage to help me and my peers become better wrestlers. Since you can never learn too much, I believe that you should take advantage of every opportunity to learn. My goal is to wrestle at the collegiate level to challenge myself academically and athletically so that I can become a better person so that I feel I have become someone my family as well as myself can be proud of.
