I have been wrestling since I was 7 years old and since then, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level. I know wrestling in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that can help me grow academically and in wrestling. I have strong top, bottom, and neutral skills including my high crotch, armbar, and standup as a few examples. I am a team captain on my team and lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I strive to be one of the hardest working wrestlers on and off the mat. I work hard year-round on my wrestling skills, participating in freestyle and Greco in the spring after folkstyle season and then go to wrestling camps over the summer to work on my technique. Over the summer and fall season, I am also involved in varsity football and the weight room at my high school which contributes to my athleticism. In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA while receiving our school's scholar athlete award by maintaining a 3.7 GPA or higher and participating in football and wrestling. I have also volunteered at our local youth wrestling program to help make money for our high school team. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the wrestling room and in the classroom. I am open to all options and want to find the right college for me at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers in my community.
