Hello, coaches. My name is Colin Albracht I’m American grown with Mexican roots, raised in a humbled and simple home.
I stand at 5”4, wrestle at 132 pounds.
I'm excited to share my collegiate goals and aspirations with you. As a dedicated leader, I was voted Religion Commissioner by my peers at Saint Mary’s preparatory high school for the 2023-24 school year, where I demonstrated my commitment to leadership and teamwork. My academic focus lies in computer engineering, a field I am eager to explore further at the collegiate level. Beyond the classroom, I bring over a decade of experience in martial arts, Taekwondo, Muay Thai kickboxing, rapid development in wrestling,
nine years of football, basketball and baseball. This extensive training and involvement in wrestling and other sports has not only honed my physical abilities but has also instilled in me discipline, perseverance, and a quick, responsive learning style. I pride myself on being a self-reliant individual who thrives in both collaborative and individual settings.
What sets me apart as a candidate for your team is my unique combination of leadership qualities, academic dedication, and athletic dedication, but most valued I train hard, dedicated and disciplined. No days off. I’m quick to learn and to adapt, most recognizable I fight ever match with a Mexican heart, I’ll keep getting up. I’m a wrestler with a Mexican heart that will go out on his shield or die trying to win.
My experience in wrestling, other marital arts and sports has not only developed my physical fitness but has also shaped my character, instilling qualities such as resilience, focus, and adaptability. These attributes, combined with my academic pursuits in computer engineering, make me a well-rounded individual poised to contribute both on and off the field. In addition to excelling in academics; I am driven to thrive athletically and contribute positively to a team dynamic.
My journey has been shaped by a blend of diverse experiences and a steadfast commitment to personal growth. From the exhilaration of training alongside professional Muay Thai fighters to post collegiate wrestlers, each encounter has fostered a unique understanding of discipline, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence. Notably, being sponsored to travel to Thailand to train Muay Thai and engage in training with elite UFC athletes and wrestlers heightened my appreciation for the physical conditioning and mental fortitude.
Being a dedicated athlete has played a pivotal role in fostering my selflessness, serving as a guiding principle behind my commitment to various initiatives.
I've imbibed values centered on selflessness, discipline, and respect for others. These principles have been instrumental in steering my involvement in activities such as leading at Bible camps, organizing community toy and canned food drives, preparing and delivering Thanksgiving meals for the seniors in my community.
The values of dedicated hard-work and improving myself, I learned through wrestling and other sports have deeply influenced my actions, encouraging me to extend myself for the betterment of others and the community. This influence manifests in my dedication to mentorship, my drive to inspire and lead, and my unwavering commitment to be of service. These qualities, fostered by being an athlete, have become second nature in shaping my approach to contributing positively to various aspects of life, including the wrestling program I aim to be a part of.
Sincerely,
Colin Albracht
