Calvin Pineda '22 Recruiting Profile

My interest in wrestling started at the age of 5 where I wrestled with the Burlingame Panther Wrestling Club. The majority of the members of the Panther Wrestling Club are now part of the Burlingame High School wrestling team. Wrestling has become an important part of my life on and off the mat. It has helped me become more independent, stronger both mentally and physically, a better leader, and develop a stronger work ethic. During practices and competitions I am sure to give it 150% of my effort and I am not one to shy away from a challenge. I work equally as hard in the classroom and I am proud of my success in school. My goal is to become the best wrestler I can be and to grow with a strong wrestling team. What I can bring to a team is my strong work ethic which was developed by my time spent wrestling as a young child until now, my desire to improve and my ability to push others to be their best.
