Samuel Platina '22 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to be accepted into the Naval Academy in Annapolis after high school, and to eventually join the U.S. Marines. I have a passion for history and politics,  and can see myself even running for office one day. 

I strive to be the best I can be and always demonstrate a positive attitude with my coaches and team.  One thing all my coaches say about me is that I am highly coachable. I have played baseball since I was 5 years old and now I'm playing on my high school JV team. I began playing football last year and in my first season we won the championships and I was awarded the Cougar Award for most Inspirational player.  I did whatever my coaches asked of me and always got behind my teammates. Then the coaching staff recruited me to wrestling last year, and I found a whole new passion! I received Best 1st Time Wrestler in 2017 and I'm totally committed to my team and improving my wrestling skills. 

Honestly, I am not the smartest guy on campus or the best athlete on the field or mat, but I work extremely hard to give my personal best everyday.
