I started wrestling last year as a freshman in high school. I have pushed myself to be better and wrestled as first string. I love to wrestle and this has been one of if not the greatest opportunity I've ever had. Wrestling in college would be a great opportunity to build on to the skills I have from wrestling in high school. I know the journey will have it's challenges and I will have to find a way to overcome them. Being in a wrestling team allows you form an even closer bond than just meeting a friend. You become family. As for academics, I love to learn and explore new things, especially science. There is so much on the earth and even more in space that we don't know about, and studying science at college level would open a whole new perspective and provide me with new learning opportunities. I really push myself in the classroom and do my best to achieve good grades. I have good discipline, dedication and determination to push myself. I have demonstrated this in my martial arts training which I have done since I was four years old. For 11 years, I have trained intensely, pushing myself, learning and evolving over the years. I have kept self discipline, integrity and persistence through loses and wins and will continue to do so. I am excited about my wrestling journey and want to experience the challenges and improve my wrestling skills by wrestling for your college.
Just to give an update, I have been out of competition due to an injury. Healing is progressing but have not been cleared by the doctor. Hoping to be cleared soon to get in at least a couple of matches.
