I look forward to wrestling in college. I am a competitor, constantly looking for ways to improve and get better. I would like to be surrounded by others who have the same fierce competitive mindset. I enjoy learning from every coach that I come in contact with and I am looking for a coaching staff that can help take my wrestling career to the next level.
There are several life experiences that have helped develop the person I am today. I have gone on mission trips, with my church, to an orphanage in Mexico to help make life a little easier for the children there. I have spent days helping feed and care for the homeless. I have also volunteered to help cancer treatment patients families at a difficult time in their lives.
When I was in the seventh grade, I decided that I wanted to serve our country. I still to this day want to join the United States Marines. My plan was to join my High School wrestling team for four years to get in shape for the 3 month boot camp and many other challenges that I will encounter in the Marines. When I began wrestling, I quickly fell in love with the sport. I cannot imagine my life without wrestling and everything it has given me. I have now decided to postpone joining the Marines until after I wrestle in college and have completed my education.
Being the captain of my wrestling team has taught me how to be a leader and a motivator to my teammates, and friends. All of these experiences have shaped who I am and how I treat and respect others.
I look forward to being the person your school would be proud to have representing them both on and off the mat.
