I'm known for being one of toughest kids on the mat. When I first started wrestling I wasn't expected to win a lot of matches nor qualify for states even kids on my own team didn't think I would make it to states. But I proved all of them wrong. My record was 16-18 which might seem horrible , but those matches I lost were close. I always gave 100% on the mat. When I won my first match I instantly loved the feeling , I wanted to go nuts it was amazing. The feeling came from working hard and putting in the time and having all of that pay off.
When the season came to an end I was in love with the sport . I wanted to accomplish my dream of qualifying for states. When the state qualifiers came I was ready I was competing at one of the hardest weight classes in CT 105. I knocked out two of the kids in my weight class to get fourth place and QUALIFY for states . Which was another great feeling. To qualify the first year of wrestling was a huge accomplishment. States came and I ended up losing to the defending state champion first round. I was disappointed but I had to move on and get ready to wrestle in the loser bracket and once again I loss. I left there unsatified and got back to work wrestling in the spring . Which I learned so much about the sport of wrestling and life lesson. I learned to never give up no matter what . I won only three matches the whole season and got my butt handed to me by older bigger stronger kids and not once did I quit or give up . Many people would've given up but that's not who I am.
