Wrestling has made me into the person I am. It gave me discipline and grit, showed me the importance of sportsmanship and ambition, and taught me to value hard work above all else. Because of the sport, I have learned how to face adversity and motivate myself when things are difficult. My wrestling career began when I was 4 years old, yet since that time I have never had a coach or club stick around consistently for more than two or three years.
I currently hold the record for the most total and consecutive Delaware state titles, having won 9 youth titles and earned 3 high school titles so far. My first high school state title I accomplished as an 8th grader, making me only the second ever to have accomplished this feat and the first to do so in the modern weight classifications (the first being over 55 years ago). I've also worked my way onto to a few national podiums, including placing at the NHSCA Grade Level Nationals last year.
My goals for wrestling in the immediate future include earning a final two state titles, and to continue climbing upwards nationally and earn a spot in the national rankings. After high school I hope to continue my education and athletics as far as possible and see what I can accomplish.
