Tallon Widrick '25 Recruiting Profile

My end goal with wrestling is to attend a Division 1 Military Academy or College.  My first choice school is West Point Army Academy, but I will also visit and tour other colleges who show an interest in my wrestling abilities.  I also follow Iowa University.  I attended the Iowa Elite Camp in the Summer of 2022 where I had 4 days of intense training with the Iowa coaching staff, including the Head Coach and current wrestlers.  In my Junior and Senior high school years, I have made a strong personal commitment to be a two-time State Champ.  I attend all the wrestling tournaments I can to broaden my wrestling experiences.  As a leader of my team, I always encourage my teammates to attend.  I also provide rides to anyone who needs them to attend, not only tournaments, but also practices and matches.  I strive to be my best by helping my teammates before, during and after their matches.  I help them with whatever they want or need to learn to make them the best they can be.  I always train hard in practice and keep the bar high to keep pushing myself and my teammates to be the best they can.  I have always had high academic grades/scores. I work hard and study as much as I can to make sure I understand the material.  I provide help to other students with homework assignments to make sure they don't fall behind on their academics.  Finally, I strive to help out my community through outreach programs offered by my church, such as feeding and clothing the homeless.
