Hello my name is Nathan Willoughby and I am a Junior. Although I love football, I live for wrestling. I work hard to make good grades and want to do well in school. I train and wrestle competitively in Greco Roman, Freestyle and folk style through my High School, Suples wrestling club in Boise and as part of the USA Team Idaho. My parents just bought a new home in New Plymouth Idaho which provides me greater opportunities with wrestling and is closer to Boise for training. I am motivated to work hard and improve my skills through practice, weightlifting, playing varsity football and wrestling year round. My practices at Suples are 2 hour session, our move decreased my travel time from 4 hours to 2 hours a day. I am not afraid to wrestle older and more experienced opponents, Adan Attao has been my wrestling practice partner for 4 years. I competed at Fargo last week - my first year as a Junior and did not do as well as I wanted but it gave me new insight to what I need to improve on. I have had the opportunity to wrestle with Team Idaho in the14u and Cadet Nationals in Indiana and then this year as a Junior at the Turf Wars Duals in Utah. Wrestling has improved my physical condition, given me confidence in myself and taught me to work hard for the goals I have set for myself. It has also taught me about character and adversity and that there is more to life than just winning and losing, it is how you play the game.
