Kai Conway '20 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a Senior at Barrington High School in Illinois and my team has been in the Elite 8 for the past two years in the 3A division. I have been on the Varsity for 4 seasons - 106 Freshman year, 132 Sophomore year, and 145 Junior year, and 160 my senior year.  I have an overall record of 151-40, and I am a 4x regional champ, 3x conference champ, IL state placer (4th @ 160 3A), Fargo Qualifier, and I'm a 2x Captain. Our program has 21-man Varsity lineup, as well as full JV and FROSH squads. I also help coach our two middle schools during their championship run, and often work with the Barrington Broncos kid's Club which is the largest youth team in the state, as well as serving as a counselor in our summer clinic, and giving demos to our elementary school gym classes. I started wrestling in 2nd grade with Gomez Wrestling Academy for the first 7 years.  I train in the off-season with Poeta and Izzy Style. I'm taking courses at honors, advanced honors, and AP levels. I currently have a 3.7 GPA after 7 semesters with a 4.25 last semester, and a 3.9 my junior year. I hope to compete at 157 or  165 in college and major in Mechanical Engineering.
