Hey, I'm Casey. I'm a Senior in high school, looking to wrestle in college. I really want to be a collegiate athlete while earning my college degree.
At the age of three I started gymnastics, which led me to become nationally ranked over the course of my 13 year gymnastics career. Leading up to achieving my ranking of 19th, at JO nationals, I developed my athletic ability through intense training and dedication. Although I was extremely dedicated to the sport I was forced to quit once I grew too large. This occurrence led me to try out wrestling as I thought my honed strength and flexibility would do me well in the sport. My family has a history of wrestling and once I tried it out, I absolutely fell in love with it. Once I find I enjoy something I have a tendency to become, in a sense, obsessed with it.
As of February 1, 2019 , my record is 30-9. This past weekend I just place third in Conference. I have learned the value of wrestling smart, listening to my coaches, and most importantly perseverance. I have really started to put everything together, gradually turning me from a wrestler with raw talent into a skilled and dangerous state contender. As far as academics, I plan on continuing to do well in my AP and honors courses throughout my high school years. For college my goal is to graduate in 4 years with my bachelor's degree, potentially continuing my schooling afterwards to obtain my master's.
