Dear Coach ,
My name is Elijah Pack and I am from Columbus Ohio. I am seventeen years old and just entered into my junior year at Culver Military Academy. I currently hold a GPA of 3.5 and I compete on both the football and wrestling teams. My goal is to wrestle in college, and I hope to have a chance to meet with you to further discuss what I can bring to the wrestling team.
Throughout my time at Culver I’ve learned a lot from our everyday structure and rigorous schedule, and they have implemented a mind, body, and spirit structure to ensure the full development of our being. Culver has instilled important traits in us such as wisdom, courage, moderation, and justice through the military system. From what I’ve learned, I’ve been able to apply these traits to moving up in rank. So far I’ve made color guard sophomore year, which is the highest rank possible for a sophomore. Going into my junior year, I will be my unit’s operation sergeant, where I will be in charge of all of the new cadets coming into Company A, setting up the next four years of their lives. From this experience I hope to continue to enhance my leadership abilities as I continue to learn how to work with different types of people. I’ve also started a bible study at Culver in hopes to help cadets grasp a better understanding of God through His Word.
Along with these military accolades, I was the starting running back of our #10 ranked team in Indiana, as well as leading the team in rushing and scoring. In wrestling, I’ve won freshman sophomore state, and this past year I placed 4th in the state of Indiana at the IHSAA state wrestling championships. I currently have a high school record of 95-19. Though I’ve worked hard for my accomplishments, I cannot take all the credit. Over the last twelve years of my wrestling career, I’ve been blessed with some of the best training the sport of wrestling has to offer. I was apart of both team Miron and Collin Palmer, 4X Ohio High School State Champion from St. Eds and The Ohio State University. I trained with Logan Stieber Ohio State’s 4x NCAA Champion, and World team member. I have trained with Reece Humphrey, 2x NCAA All-American. My personal coach for most of my career has been Eddie Jayne, 3x Ohio High School State Champion from St. Eds and Penn State team member. This past year I was lucky enough to be coached by Chris Fleeger 2X NCAA runner up at Purdue. I would love to bring the knowledge I’ve been blessed with to your program.
I greatly appreciate your time and for reading this letter. Please let me know if you would like to meet sometime in the near future to discuss how I can contribute to your wrestling program.
Thank you,
Elijah Pack
