Ben Hammes '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ben Hammes. I will be going into my senior year at Gilbert High School (class of 2024). Wrestling is my passion. I love everything about it, I see every day as an opportunity to learn something new. I may not be the most athletically gifted person, but I make up for it with hard work. In my freshman year, I won my team's Freshman of the Year Award, I also won the Hardest Worker award. The award I am most proud of is winning the Most Improved Wrestler two years in a row. I am a person who will just flat-out work, over the past two off-seasons I have wrestled over 120 Freestyle and Greco matches. In my Junior year, I was picked as a team captain. This is something that I think I could bring to a college room, the ability to lead by example.
