It would be a dream come true for me to wrestle and compete at the next level while working on my education. I did not start wrestling until I was in 8th grade following a successful basketball run but I instantly fell in love with the sport and the people very quickly. I am always working to improve because I want to be as successful as I can be and will do whatever it takes. I am a two-time State Qualifier in a very competitive State Class and conference. Even though wrestling is an individual competition, I want to be able to be able to make my team successful in anyway I can. Their success is my main goal and it is so important because if they are successful then so am I. If I can directly help with that, then it makes the journey and the victories even sweeter. I am willing to put in work where ever I can in order to become a better competitor and I count on my coaches and my team and even my competitors to drive my improvement. I have wrestled in the 285 lb. class my entire career beginning as a Freshman weighing in as low as 226 giving up a great deal of weight to my competitors but I have consistently added about 20 lbs. every year, working in around 247 as a Sophomore and 265 as a Junior. I primarily drill with athletes in 220 lbs and less to increase speed and technique and have a great deal of experience working with the highly competitive 220 pounders. Most of the wrestlers I compete against have experience going back to grade school and if I am to be successful, I know that my conditioning and patience is critical to my long term success in any given match. I try to utilize my height and length to my advantage as there are very few wrestlers that are accustomed to competing against 6'7" typically.
