Liam Borza '21 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a Senior at Catholic Memorial High School where character matters.    It drives me and keeps me balanced across all of my endeavors on and off the field.    Additionally, I am driven, in the spirit of all CM Knights "to pursue excellence, embrace Gospel values and lead through service."   However, what has set me apart from others and will continue to do so across my collegiate career and beyond is my true grit.    Being down in a match, only makes me work harder.  If the team needs points, I dig deep.  My coaches and instructors will tell you that I am the hardest worker, take coaching advice to heart on the field and off, and thrive on the discipline required of wrestlers (and rugby players!),   It's all about being better each and everyday.  

Playing varsity athletics in a competitive division is only one component of my success.  Academically, I want to pursue a career in Civil or Marine Engineering and continue my family's tradition in service to my country in an armed services career. To that end, I have worked diligently to reach First Honors in a rigorous curriculum.   What keeps me focused is my selection and service to Campus Peer Ministry where I lead lower classmen in CM traits of leadership and community service to the marginalized.

My wrestling career (and rugby career) has not reached it's peak!  I want to grow and learn from  knowledgeable coaching, great teammates and the adventure of a life time.
