I am now in my senior year of wrestling. I wrestled varsity as a 220 in my freshman year and placed sixth at sectionals, making me a runner up qualifier for state. I wrestle at Dungeon Wrestling Club in the offseason and am the team's heavyweight. I was the varsity heavyweight for Silver Lake High School. I won the Devin Ness Tournament at Oliver Ames in the first weekend of the season. I ultimately placed fourth at sectionals, sixth at state, and went 1-2 at All State.
I transferred to Xaverian Brothers High School where I started at offensive and defensive tackle for the Regional Title team and state finalists. As a junior, I have won several tournaments and placed top 3 in all others. I won the D1 South Sectional Tournament and placed 3rd at the D1 State Tournament. I placed 7th at All States and competed at the New England Championships.
I am not the typical immobile heavyweight. I run a 4.9 5-10-5 shuttle. I am an honor roll student and always keep good grades.I am active in my church, where I was the youth leader of the 14- and 15-year-old boys--my job was to help all of them participate and feel included in our activities. I assigned them jobs to do at church, and I follow up to make sure everyone feels a part. I want to work in athletics after college as a coach, trainer, or therapist. I want to understand best how the body works and how to get the best performance out of it. Wrestling is an excellent way for me to understand that, and I want to combine that with college to be the best professional I can be.
