I started competitive swimming when I was 10. I quickly realized there weren’t a lot of 500 Freestyle swimmers, so knew I could place well. I remain the pool record holder at The Boys and Girls Club of Waltham for the 9-10 as well as 11-12 year old boys. I qualified at ages 10, 11 and 12 for Boys and Girls Club National Swim Championships in St. Petersburg, FL.
I joined their USA Swimming division after my first season to push myself harder. After winning the 500 Freestyle at Silver Championships of New England at 12 years old, I was hooked. When we moved to Medfield, I joined the Kingfish and have now been swimming with them, year-round for three years. After doing well in both the 500 and 200 Freestyle, I have slightly shifted my focus to the 200 Butterfly to try and diversify.
I have been my high school’s top 500 swimmer since joining in 7th grade. Competing at the state level wasn’t an option last year due to COVID so my goal is to qualify and place well this season. Continuing on throughout high school and into college.
