Leyton Detter '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Leyton Detter and I currently attend Allendale High School (D2) in Allendale, Michigan as a junior.  I am very interested in developing and furthering my wrestling career.  I have been wrestling for twelve years and my passion for the sport has only grown over that time.  I would like to continue that growth and passion at the next level and earn the opportunity to excel. 

Wrestling has become my lifestyle, not just a sport.  I have set high goals which include wrestling at the highest level possible against the best competition.  I focus on improvement both during the season and outside the regular season every day.  I continually try to develop my skills, strength, stamina, and mental toughness by pushing myself to be the hardest worker in the room.  I do not waste the opportunities given to me and understand that dedication, hard work, effort, determination, grit, and heart are all aspects of a champion, which I possess.  I am looking for an institution of higher learning, wrestling program, and coaches that will challenge, drive, support, and develop me into the best possible person and wrestler that I can be.
