Brendan O'Connor '14 Recruiting Profile

I am 5'7" 130 lb wrestler, currently a senior at Dundee High School, Dundee, Michigan.  I have been on the varsity wrestling team in my freshman and sophomore years at Saint Mary Catholic Central, and my junior and senior years at Dundee High School earning All-State wrestler for the last three years.  As a freshman I placed eighth at States (Division 4 school/103 lbs), as a sophomore I placed fifth at States (Division 3 school/112 lbs), and as a junior I placed third at States (Division 3 school/125 lbs).  In my sophomore, junior, and senior years, I placed first at Individual Districts and Individual Regionals competitions prior to the Individual State Championships.  I also helped Dundee High School's varsity wrestling team win the State Championships in 2013 and 2014 in my junior and senior years. I currently have a 3.51 GPA and a 30 on the October 2013 ACT test.  My highest scores from 3 ACT tests are, Math 31, English 29, Science 29, and Reading 33.

I am looking for a school where I can find the right balance between the classroom and the wrestling matt. I am interested in a career in the area of Computer Science and ultimately attending law school.  I am open to any size college campus, but I want to be able to wrestle at the highest level of training and competition as well as obtain my bachelor's degree at that same level.  I have a love for the sport of wrestling that I want to be able to balance along with my academic goals in college.
